Baptist Healthcare System has taken an enterprise view of digital imaging with the Agfa IMPAX Picture Archiving and Communication system (PACs) for both Radiology and Cardiology. The Agfa IMPAX system is interfaced to Baptist Information System Portal to enable the display of images and information for referring Physicians. With the recent integration of voice recognition to the PACs system , Radiologists have been able to streamline the interpretation of reports and produce diagnostics results in a more timely manner to the referring physicians. Only digital access can ensure that images and information is available anywhere anytime they are needed for patient care.
AGFA IMPAX PACS System
A comprehensive solution for managing patient data, this information management solution streamlines workflow and delivers increased efficiency and productivity to our physicians. IMPAX is a robust application for imaging-based planning, interpretation and results distribution. IMPAX enables Baptist Healthcare System physicians to optimize clinical and IT efficiencies using a single workflow-based system to service consumers within, and external to the walls of our facilities, providing consolidated management of patient image and information. Images can be viewed through the hospital’s existing applications and through our single patient information portal.
IMPAX Non-Invasive Vascular
IMPAX Non-Invasive Vascular is a full featured imaging and reporting solution for our vascular laboratory. It offers tightly integrated structured reporting for a wide variety of non-invasive vascular exams and provides a convenient single reporting page incorporating 18 non-invasive vascular exam sub-types. It helps optimize workflow, decrease report turn-around time by eliminating transcription, and improves information management by providing digital reports as the physician reviews cases on-line.
IMPAX Cardiovascular Suite (IMPAX CV)
IMPAX CV is a patient centric solution that puts the patient’s cardiovascular imaging history at the physician’s fingertips whenever and wherever it’s needed. DICOM compliant, IMPAX CV automatically collects patient demographic and order information from the order entry and ADT system and sends it in advance to echo-cardiography ultrasound machines, facilitating workflow by eliminating data entry redundancy, reducing the potential for errors and significantly decreasing costs. With point of care data collection, measurements performed on the cart are sent to IMPAX and imported directly into the report.
