Education
Two public and two private school systems offer preschool-grade 12 education. Higher education is available at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, featuring the University of Kentucky engineering program and the Challenger Learning Center for grades 3-8, and Murray State University 45 miles south.

West Kentucky Community and Technical College
West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC), is located in Paducah. WKCTC offers traditional two-year Associate in Arts and Associate in Science transfer degrees, as well as Applied Science (technical) degrees and diplomas, and many certifications.
WKCTC is dedicated to helping students reach their educational goals through program offerings are relevant to today’s workforce needs. Tuition is affordable and the delivery methods of the courses fit almost any lifestyle.
Western Baptist works with both schools in recruiting nurses and technicians.
